DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (MIS) FOR THE Ultra-Poor Graduation (UPG) program.

CHASP Advisory is partnering with Village Enterprise to develop an Integrated Management Information System (MIS) for the Ultra-Poor Graduation (UPG) program.

This digital platform will collect, store, and analyze data, making it easier to track progress, measure impact, and support informed decision-making. By serving as a central hub, the MIS will enable county governments to efficiently manage graduation programs, enhance poverty alleviation efforts, and strengthen institutional capacities.

Why this matters

Effective poverty alleviation requires accurate data and efficient tracking. This initiative introduces a user-friendly MIS, which will enable county governments to independently manage graduation programs and support ultra-poor households in achieving self-sufficiency.

What we are doing

Assess existing data systems – Understanding what’s working and needs improvement.
Engage key stakeholders – Listening to program implementers, county officials, and community partners to align the system with their real needs.
Develop a comprehensive and easy-to-use MIS – A digital platform that integrates best practices for monitoring, reporting, and decision-making.
Test for functionality and usability – Ensuring the system is reliable before full rollout.
Train program implementers – Equipping teams with the skills to use the system effectively for tracking progress and improving outcomes.
Create a strong Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) framework – Measuring success and identifying areas for improvement.
Plan for long-term sustainability – Making sure the system remains adaptable and scalable for future needs.
