DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (MIS) FOR THE UPG PROJECT

Village Enterprise has engaged CHASP Advisory on a transformative project aimed at creating an integrated Management Information System (MIS) to enhance its Ultra-Poor Graduation (UPG) initiatives.
Recognizing the need for effective program monitoring, the MIS will be a cornerstone of the first UPG model, enabling county governments to independently manage graduation programs, streamline poverty alleviation strategies, and reinforce institutional capacities. The consultancy’s core mission focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating a tailored Integrated MIS that supports data-driven decision-making, ultimately improving the effectiveness and impact of UPG interventions.

Key objectives include assessing existing information systems, engaging stakeholders to gather insights on their data needs, and designing a comprehensive MIS that aligns with UPG goals while incorporating best practices. Rigorous testing will ensure the system’s functionality and usability, alongside training for UPG implementers to maximize its utility in data handling and reporting. Moreover, the consultancy will establish a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to track outcomes and provide insights for continual improvement. Long-term sustainability strategies will be formulated to ensure future upgrades and resource allocation. Finally, comprehensive reports will outline findings and recommendations, driving the effective integration of the MIS within UPG models to bolster program monitoring and decision-making.

This initiative not only aims to strengthen organizational capacity but also enhances collaboration with market actors, maximizing the reach and impact of UPG initiatives.
